WW: MOMMY BRAINS
Posted by Mrs Zeee on 05/06/2009
Remember that commercial where the guy would crack an egg into a frying pan and say “This is your brain on drugs…”
Ok, now think along those lines from the mommy perspective.
I remember being an independent, forward-thinking, stylish, in-shape girlfriend and eventually, wife to my soul mate. We traveled, attended family functions, read books, went to movies and shows and filled our social calendars with lots of stuff. Life seemed so full of variety and…balanced.
During that phase of my life, I like to think my brain landscape looked something like this:

Then I gave birth to Miss Smiley. She is my world, turned upside-down.
My hubby and I are a lot less active but much more fulfilled.
Now that I am a mommy, major share shift in brain function occurred.
My gray matter has become this:

Don’t get me wrong…Life is better, richer, fuller with Miss Smiley. But the challenge has become keeping my brain on anything other than being a super mom to the pint-sized princess…oh, and shoes, of course.
Just like the egg in the frying pan, I guess this is my brain on “MOM.”
Any questions?
