Spent Mother's Day morning hunting down a priest (on a SUNDAY), participating in Last Rites and checking her pulse when she stopped breathing. NO, you can't "call her later", my friends, because later she could be dead. CALL. YOUR. GRANDMOTHER. Send her flowers. Take her to lunch. Yes, in public. Yes, she will behave oddly. So will you someday. I know she's a pain in the ass. But she's probably the only Grandmother you have and will EVER have.
