FF: No flowers for Mother’s Day…
Posted by Mrs Zeee on 05/08/2009
I am so frustrated that it has done nothing but rain for the past week and I still do not have my annuals planted. In my zone, it says to wait until around Mother’s Day to insure the frost has passed.
Well, the forecast calls for rain through the weekend and it looks like my front yard will be a barren, yucky grassland for this Mother’s Day. Bah!!!
Even if it did clear up in time to plant tomorrow, the ground is going to be muddy- no fun for gardening.
And the best part about it is that I don’t have another window of time to plant for the next two weeks. So now it’s looking like June for my spring annuals – WTF?
Oh, and why is my neighbors azalea blooming like a freakin’ firecracker and mine looks like it’s on crack?
Nice, real nice…
Btw- Thanks, Maria for giving me the opportunity to rant on this Friday Frustration.

I can definitely relate. It rained here all week as well. And my neighbors…..they must have their own weather because their yard and flowers always look perfect.
Great Frustration. I added your link to Mister Linky since it was not working well earlier.
Thanks for participating.

I feel your pain, Sister! I have shrub tomatoes, begonias, Creeping Jenny, ferns, basil and dill to plant…but the weather won’t cooperate. When I’m at home, its crappy. When I’m out, it’s gorgeous.
Very. Frustrating.

We just had a storm over here and didn’t have electricity since 8pm until noon today.. It’s so frustrating! I hope you get your flowers planted soon.. :)

Sheesh……………I’m still trying to rake leaves from the Fall I was too lazy to do!
It sounds like my schedule……….I’m not going to get a chance to weed and trim things up for another two weeks (weddings, etc).
Any my neighbors yards look beautiful, too…………….

I feel your pain – Mother Nature decided we need 8 days straight of rain…while I appreciate her watering my plants, it would have been really nice for her to WAIT until they were planted! :)
Wishing you a very Happy Mother’s Day! :)
