False Alarm Friday

Friday again and raining AGAIN!
I have so much to vent about today!
It’s not even 10am yet and I have had the most eventful morning.
So, here we go –
-Woke up an hour late and rushed to get myself and the baby ready for work
-Went downstairs to discover that the dishwasher cycle I began last night, never finished bc the water drain is clogged.
So, now there is standing water in my washer until I get the plumber here!
-Left for work and on my way to drop the baby off and got a call from the alarm company bc my basement alarm went off
so I had to turn around with the baby still in the car and assess the situation bc the alarm company deployed the police department.
-Got home, false alarm (i think, but i had to check everything myself bc the police were not there when i got home) but the one thing the police managed to do was give me a summons for not have an ALARM PERMIT!!
WTF? I didn’t realize that I needed a permit to secure my home/neighborhood. What’s more, the police didn’t bother to stay to make sure everything was secure when i got home, but they sure know how to get that summons secured on my mailbox.
Unreal!
-Ugh- back to the grind but I feel SOOOO much better after venting about it.

all i can say, i’m sure tomorrow will be better. hahaha. i feel so slow when it’s raining, like i can’t do anything. rain is so limiting and so full of hassle. so, starting your day with it is ughhhh!

Wow, that’s an eventful morning. How do you have a productive day at work after that. That crazy about the alarm permit. I’ve never heard of that. Luckily, it was just a false alarm.

Oh my what an eventful morning indeed! WTF was that about needing a permit to secure your own home? I didn’t think that was necessary.. Things like that should really be put into a big sign where everyone can see it!

Not the best start of a day………..hope the rest of it went better.
And what’s up with all these permits???? Our town is the same way.
